Palm Villas are located just outside the quayside village of Sivota. “Ask to see the freshly caught fish!” It's a five minute drive up a track, or a 15 minute stroll. The track is unsurfaced, but passable with care in a normal car.

In Sivota there is a range of tavernas, bars, mini-markets and souvenir shops. The port is popular with sailors - most of the visitors come by yacht and so retains it's village ambience - there are no large apartment blocks or hotels in the area.
All your provisions can be bought locally - if it's not in the shops, it's
brought down to the village everyday by pick-up. A bakery van comes down every
morning from the nearby village of Mandohori, bringing fresh bread, local Greek
pies - spinach and feta cheese - and croissants.
In the evening, the port comes alive, stroll along the quay and check out the yachts, before taking dinner in one of the tavernas, all with their local specialties. Ask to see the freshly-caught
fish!

Or maybe have a drink in The Olive Press, an old olive mill, with the original stone press still in the middle of the bar.
There are a couple of beaches in Sivota, but for the best swimming and lounging, take the car round to the secluded and private Afteli beach, about 10 minutes away. Alternatively Ammousa, another 5 minutes on, is a little bigger, with a taverna for a post-swim drink. Sivota is within easy reach of many of the island's attractions. 15 minutes in either direction are the bustling resorts of Vassiliki and Nidri and the spectacular beaches of the West Coast are only a 20 minute drive.
