past the tiny village of Haradiatika, you will find Anlys Villa. Completely private and not overlooked in any way, this is an ideal location for those who value their privacy.

Built in 2004, the villa has a traditional appearance, with walls hand built of locally quarried stone. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped, including dishwasher, washing machine and American style fridge freezer, but retains a warm country feel. Off the kitchen is the living area, with patio doors leading out onto the pool terrace. A large window gives views down the valley down to the sea. There is a dining table, along with a comfortable seating area, tv, dvd and stereo.

“stone walls keep the villa delightfully cool” Anlys VillaTraditional stone walls feature throughout the villa, with the rest of the colour scheme echoing the soft yellows and blues found in the local pottery. In total there are three bedrooms - one double and two twins, all of which are ensuite. The double bedroom, which has sea views, has an ensuite with twin basins and a walk in shower, while the two twin bedrooms are at the back of the villa, one with shower and one with a bath.

Anlys Villa has been carefully thought out to ensure the comfort of its guests. All rooms have air conditioning, although the stone walls keep the villa delightfully cool even in the height of summer. There are also fans and fly screens for each window.

The large terrace at the side of the villa centres around the swimming pool. This has shallow steps at one end for ease of access and a built-in jacuzzi. Around the pool, there is ample space for lounging, a large dining table and a gas BBQ for those long summer evenings. The view down the valley looks over the the islands of Scorpios, Scorpidi and Madouri and the mainland mountains of Akarnanika. Close by, there is not another house in sight, just the ever changing greens of the olives and cypress trees.
