Flights and Transfers to Lefkas

Flights are not included with your Bayan Blue Villa. This allows you to choose dates, times and airports to suit your plans. This page is to assist guests with their travel arrangements.

The nearest airport to Lefkas is Preveza, about 20 minutes from Lefkas town. Flights to Preveza from the UK run on Sundays from Gatwick and Manchester, as well as some regional airports.

The cost of flying to Preveza varies according to demand; expect to pay around £200pp in low season and £300pp in high season.

Transfers

Often, transfers are not required. If you book a hire car with us, it will be available to collect at the airport, along with a detailed information pack showing you how to get to your villa [More information about hire cars].

If necessary, Bayan Blue can arrange transfers from the airport to your villa. You will be met at the airport and chauffeured to your villa by Mercedes taxi or minibus. The cost of transfers varies between €25 and €60, depending on villa location.

How To Get To Lefkas - Alternatives To Preveza Airport

The majority of our guests fly to Preveza airport, either direct from the UK or via Athens. More information about flights to Preveza and transfers to Lefkas can be found above

This information is intended to help if flying to Preveza is impractical. Costs and times given below are for guidance only.


Transfers from Athens

Domestic flights between Athens and Preveza are very popular. If there are no airplane seats available, it is possible to get a taxi from Athens to Lefkas. This takes around 5 hours and will cost in the region of €300.

Argostoli airport, Kefallonia

The nearest airport after Preveza is Argostoli, on the island of Kefallonia. Flights run direct from the UK and via Athens. Transfers from Argostoli require a ferry journey between Fiscardo (about 1 hour by taxi from the airport, cost c. €60) and Vassiliki or Nidri on Lefkas. The ferry takes 1½ - 2 hours (depending on destination) and runs up to 5 times a day. Cost is around €10 per adult foot passanger.

Once on Lefkas, hire cars can be collected from Nidri. If arriving in Vassiliki, a further transfer may be required.

Corfu airport

Corfu (locally: Kerkyra) airport is one of the busiest in the Ionian - it is possible to fly daily from the UK on both charter and scheduled airlines. Transfers from Corfu to Lefkas require a ferry journey.

The ferry port is around 15 minutes by taxi from the airport. Ferries leave almost hourly to Igoumenitsa on the mainland and take 1½ - 2 hours. The cost of the ferry is around €10 per foot passanger. Once in Igoumonitsa, a transfer to Lefkas takes around 1½ hours and costs around €100.

Ferries from Italy

There is an extensive ferry network running between the Italian east coast and Igoumenitsa in Greece. Ferries start in Vencice, Anacona, Bari and Brindisi. Several of these ports are accessible by low-cost airlines. Once in Igoumenitsa, a taxi to Lefkas will cost around €100 and take 1½ hours.
